Cities Adventure.

On Wednesday a few friends, my sister, and I all went down to the cities for an adventure. And it literally turned out to be an adventure! Our original plan was this:
Go to Doin' the Dishes(it's this place where this pottery is already made and then you can paint whatever you choose, i.e: plates, piggy banks, cups, pretty much anything.)
go down to the twin cities and wander around and then finish the night with a Twins Game.

Our day turned out like this:
We left Ramsey around noon, got down to Edina with little trouble, and then start to try and find Doin' the Dishes. We can't find it, so we go into a Dunn Brothers to get Wifi, and so Eric and Holly can get there coffee fix. We find the address of the place on mapquest, and then start walking up the street to find it, we then found out that Doin' the Dishes is now closed. We still had 6 hours before the game started. So we went into some shops in looked around, didn't really find anything amazing so we then left. We then figure out a new plan that we wanted to go down to nicolett mall, but first we wound up at the Walker Arts Center, we galivanted around there for a while, and took some pictures.

We then had to find our way to Nicolett mall, however due to construction we got kind of lost and had to take many alternate roads to get there. We finally got to the dome/nicolett mall around 5:30 we purchased our tickets and then walked to Nicolett Mall we found a Potbelly's, we stopped there so Holly could get something to eat since she's vegetarian and dome salads and such can be expensive. Eric also got a sandwich since he hadn't eaten since breakfast.(actually none of us had eaten since breakfast Caitlin and I just didn't get anything.) While at Potbelly's Holly figures out that she has lost her phone somewhere between Edina and the Dome. Afterwards, Eric and I go into the dome and save seats, while Holly and Caitlin go back to the van and see if they can find Holly's phone, they can't.

The game was quite fun. We won 3-2. but it was quite an eventful day.
Caitlin and I took a picture on her phone and we got on the Fan Cam! It was really quite exciting.

Also, Holly went back the next day and found her phone and Hunt and Gather.

Woot Woot!

As I promised, I'm posting a few pictures from my mission trip. They're mostly of my friends, and the staff --whom I became really close friends with-- but anyway, enjoy!

These are all photos taken during Program, I didn't really take any of my group working. Mainly, because we didn't do much other then wash windows, and really, who wants to take pictures of that?

"Bad Blogger"

I'm sorry I haven't been writing lately. But seriously, there is NOT a lot to write about. It's summer, therefore you'd think I have lots to say. But I don't. I don't have a job, I'm not a mother, my days are filled with tv watching, facebook updating, and occasionally reading. That's about it.

However, I feel I need to update you. I've talked about my Mission Trip, which I've decided was the happiest week of my life, but I don't think you knew that I was going up to the North Shore for a bit.
Yes I did. We just got back on Tuesday night, it was wonderfully with a lot of photo opportunities. So without further adeu(sp?) I give you pictures from both my mission trip, and from the North Shore.

Faith Renewed

I'm here, posting again. In order to update you with what's been going on in my life, it would take an hour or two, and it would be a really long post. Therefore I will just tell you a little about my mission trip.

It's honestly changed me a lot, it came at a time when my faith was failing and I wasn't sure what exactly I believed. It was great, because everyday we would have mass before the groups when out and did their services, and it really helped me open my eyes, and heart to God. There were probably three people that really helped me through the week, who I talked to almost everyday and got to know Really Well. Mainly though, they were there for me, which is more then I can say for most of my friends back home/here. Another thing that helped, I'd say 3 of the 5 weekdays down there we met with our youth groups, now mine may be small(only 4 people total) but it was nice to share my faith with them. I also found it ironic, the fact that we were the smallest group there and usually one of the last ones talking.
Throughout the week I realized just how blessed my life is. The first person my group helped was a woman named, Helen, she was 92 years old but looked far younger, and after we were done cleaning up her house we just sat and talked with her, and we talked about everything from her Cotton Pickin' with her grandma and how they got a dollar a day for 200 bowls(or whatever they're called), to her family and late husband.

I shall stop here to keep the suspense building, and then I'll just have one longer post later this week hopefully. Pictures will also be coming. I just refuse to download them, because that means that the trip is actually over! =[

Attention Span of Gnat.

So this week I've been putting together a playlist for my mission trip, with all sorts of music. Basically to ensure that everyone will be happy for any amount of the trip. However, it's seriously taken me the whole week to finish it, and I'm not even done yet. It's almost Friday. I think it mainly has to do with the fact that I have a bad attention span. I usually work on the list for about a half hour but then I'm on Facebook, or looking at other blogs, or wandering around the house, and then return to progress on the list.

What I'm saying here is this: You have no idea how bad your attention span is until you have to do a task that takes a good chunk of your time.

By the way, this list is 286 songs, and 18 hours. Round trip it's 12. I have an extra 6 hours of music, yet I can't get rid of any of it. I'm a little weird like that. However I can tell you in this list there is all sorts of music, Country, Rock, Pop, Christian, Soundtrack's, and lots of other genre's.
These, people better be appreciative. ha.

One last thing, why is Gnat, spelt with a 'G?'

Hello Friends...

I am still alive, there is just not a lot to update you with. It's been a pretty "down" week so-to-speak. But here's the run down of what I've been up to since my last post.

Saturday: I went to my friend Megan's grad party, and played Rock band "late" into the night. (really only until about 9)
Sunday: I went to church and then went out to dinner for a belated Fathers day.
Monday: I had a meeting for my mission trip that's coming up(leaving this Sunday to be exact) and then saw Transformers 2 with some friends, for the second time! =] It was still amazing the second time around.
Tuesday: I spent the evening over at Megan's house with Rachael, and we watched some movies and rocked out to Megan's Barbie and the Rockers cassette tape(yeah, we went old school)
Today: I have nothing going on, and I'm kind of bored out of my mind, however I'm making a playlist to burn to a cd for the mission trip, and I might tentatively start to pack...maybe
Tomorrow(Thursday): I'm (hopefully) going to the beach with a group of friends. =]
Friday: I might hang out with my friend Eric.
Saturday: Happy 4th to you all, I am going up to my aunt's cabin to hang out with the cousins and such.
Sunday: I'm leaving for my mission trip to Rockford Illinois sometime before 8 am.

See? I told you, there wasn't a lot to update you with, also, I may not be doing Friday Fragments this week either, you will just have to wait and see. (really, I may or may not be building the suspense to when I actually do do it. =])
