Well I thought I'd write a little post simply because I'm procrastinating packing. I really do need to start, since I'm leaving tomorrow and want to bring stuff home with me so there's less to bring home at the end of the year, but I haven't started yet.
Anyway, this past weekend I went to Jesus Christ Superstar at Chanhassen, and it was SO good. I had never seen it before but I had seen Godspell so I kind of had an idea of what it was about. All of their voices were unbelievable! Alex, one of the girls that also went said that both Jesus' and Judas' voices were very similar to the original recording of the '70's. I was especially impressed with the parts where they had to sing really high and they both reached it multiple times in the show.
And this weekend is Easter, and I get to go home! I'm so excited a month is a long time for me not to go home, and I want to sleep in my own bed! SO EXCITING. But after that, there's only 3 weeks of school left, Yikes!
Also this week, I did the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, where some guys from school walk a mile in high-heeled shoes! I walked with my friends Mike and Jess, both friends from Frisbee, mikes feet were huge so they didn't really fit in the shoes he was wearing so we kind of walked at a slow pace(well, really it was a comfortable pace).
And lastly, I really like this song:

Friends
My friends came up on Saturday and it was so much fun. I was so glad they were up here! It's a little piece of home was up here for a day.
It's amazing what kind of affect a few people can have on your life. I hadn't seen most of them since either August, or December so it was just really awesome catching up. My best friend Zach was up here, and Jayde, who I'm not really sure where that friendship lands, but still good to catch up. Plus, my friend Ben came up from the cities with everyone and it was great to hang out with him while everyone else was playing. I (sort-of) showed them around campus, I basically showed them my dorm room but my roommate and our friend were in the room half asleep and watching harry potter 4 so we couldn't really stay in the room.
This kid named Tony goes to this school, and some of them went to school with him and remembered that he went here, and were like (jokingly) "let's go visit tony" like 100 times, so I got fed up with it and drove them by the house. (He's an interesting kid so no one really wanted to hang out with him.
Saturday night was JazzFest, I worked it so I could get in for "free," although it was kind of dumb I still paid 5 dollars and just got a t-shirt instead of a ticket, so kind of lame. But anyway, I got to sit and enjoy some jazz with some of my favorite people in the world.
This weekend is crazy, there is so much going on but honestly I don't really feel like going to much of it, tomorrow I'll be going to Jesus Christ Superstar, and I'm pretty excited! I've never seen it, but I'm excited nonetheless!

WGI Bound
MN Brass Indoor, they're always a fan favorite. And it was especially fun to see the reactions of the crowd when the girls were laying on the drums. They're off to WGI Finals this week in Dayton Ohio, they won 1st at regionals so hopefully they can do the same thing at finals!
Fun fact: In the last 3.5 months of 2011 I've have almost as many posts as I do in any single year before this!

Some of My Favorite People
On Earth are going to be here tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited! What I've really missed about being here is not having face to face contact with some of my best friends! The JazzFest is going on, and that's why their going to be here and literally I've been looking forward to this all week! I have one person here that I would consider to be close to a "best friend" otherwise I have a group of good friends. Back home I have a lot more people that I a) Know and b) are really good friends with. I think it's really the band thing that made those friendships happen and I'm thinking of being in either band or choir next year I can't choose which one I want to be in, I haven't been in an actual choir since I was in middle school but I also can't decide if I really want to go back to the French Horn. I did love it in high school, but I can't decide if I want to make that apart of my "past life" or not(as cheesy as that sounds.) What I would really love to learn is the Cello.
I'm actually volunteering so I can get in for free, and get a free t-shirt! Man I love college, by the end of this year I'll have like 5 new t-shirts.
In other news(this makes me sound like a news anchor) I don't think I've been sleeping well here. I really don't think there's been a day here where I've woken up and haven't been tired, and if there has been I've wanted to take a nap a few hours later. Like today, I had class at 11:45 and had my alarm set for 10:51, I couldn't sleep after like 10:15 and got out of bed at 10:33, but then I was tired again by 4, so I took a small nap before we went to dinner. I'm usually really good at not napping because I don't want to get into that habit, but for real this might become a real problem. And I don't feel like something's wrong with me because I'm pretty sure we've gotten everything checked out as far as sleep problems go for me. Everything short of sleep-apnea, and narcolepsy, both of which I feel aren't possible.
I'm also pretty sure that I can't fall asleep before 12:30. Sometimes I get lucky and do, but I really feel like my body is incapable of falling asleep before then.
Alright friends,
have a good night.

Josh Kelley
Well, I haven't done a music post in a long time, and I've really been loving Josh Kelley's "Georgia Clay"
Really, I think I just love the beat of it.

Weekend
Man, it was a good weekend.
Friday night, I stuck around Morris and actually had a really good talk with one of my best friends, Jacob over facebook, he was actually at work (he's an EMT, but they don't mind if you're on fb apparently) so we had to settle for fb instead of skype. But it was really nice catching up with him, I haven't seen him since I left back in August, we were planning on hanging out over winter break, but that never came to be, so it was really exciting catching up with him!
Saturday I went down to St. Cloud with some new(and "old") friends, they all got tattoos and piercings, but I was already going to St. Cloud to go to a drumline show, so I just tagged along to see them get pierced.
Around 6:45 I left them at the tattoo parlor(they had another car) and went to go watch my drumline show. And as it turns out there are two 4th Streets in St. Cloud. Google maps led me to like the most remote back corner of St. Cloud and it was pretty sketch, so I had to eventually find my way back to SCSU(and I was trying to get there before 8 because I thought that's when they went on, but they actually went on at 9), I finally got there, and talked with my friends for a while, and it was so good to see them. I went and found a seat and took some pictures, I was really glad that I was able to see lines I'd never seen before, like RCR, and boy were they amazing! RCR was the craziest line next to brass. And I got some really awesome pictures that I still need to go through and edit some of them. After the show I went to the field house and had a really good chat with my friend Zach, and then left SCSU around 11:30-11:45 and got back to Morris around 1:15-1:30.
And Sunday was a very chill day.
This weekend, my friends are coming up for the 33rd annual UMM JazzFest and I'm SO excited.
