Making an Effort.

I've decided that I'm really going to make an effort to start updating regularly. About anything and everything, since that is what I got this blog for anyway. My goal is to have 100 posts by the end of the year. Which is plausible, because I already have 41 posts through about 4 months, and I still have 4 months to go! Plus, if I update two or three times a week, that should get me to around 100 posts.
Actually my goal is that every month i publish one more post then the previous month. It seems legit to me. And hopefully I'll be able to do it!

Well, I've finally downloaded pictures, so here's what I've been up to in the past few weeks.

This is Megan, a friend of mine, and with church we went on a service outing. We went down to Lyric Arts Theatre in Anoka and helped them out there.

After we did our service we went to a nearby park and played some ultimate frisbee, but on our way there we stopped at this dam.

I've also gone to a few parties. In this picture Blake and Gus were both cold(because we had just gotten back from Dairy Queen) and Ethan was really hot because he had just gotten done playing soccer and so he laid on top of them to warm them up.

And I've also gone to a Twins Game. This is Cuddyer, and he's my favorite.

I've been feeling rather uninspired lately and haven't gone out to take any new pictures.


Work is going fine. I worked this past weekend, and work again this weekend. but I don't mind.
School starts next week, and I'm SO ready for it to start. I'm making senior shirts with my friend Morgen this week, which will be fun!

Ironic

This summer, I stumbled across a blog this guy was writing, about his trip on foot from Amsterdam to Athens. A couple nights ago on the news a segment of it was about this guy that was running 100 miles to raise money for some kids organization(i think one of his kids had cancer?) I found this Ironic since Ryan is running well over 100 miles. Granted it's on his own terms that he wanted to do this, but still. I just kind of laughed when I saw the segment. And although, he's not doing it for any specific cause and the news doesn't know about him I think it's amazing what he's doing.

First Day

Just a quick update:

Well, my first day of work seemed to go relatively well. It wasn't to stressful and it was "easy." Meaning that the people I was working with were really cool about helping me remember what was on the sandwiches. It's funny how you can memorize what's all on a sandwich but once you're up there and have to make the sandwich when someone calls out a number, it's harder then you think. I mean if you let me think through the huge list in my head and figure out what's on there then I could do, but there isn't enough time to do that so they just guided me along. I work again on Friday from 4-9 and then Sat. and Sun. Hopefully everyone will still be willing to help me until I've got down how the sandwiches are made and such.


Sorry there haven't been any pictures lately, I haven't gone out to take pictures. I'm not feeling very inspired lately to do so.

Busy Bee

Well, the rest of my week hasn't really calmed down that much. On Friday I went into JJ's to fill out paperwork and get the tour/feel of the place. Tomorrow is my first day, hopefully it'll go smoothly! That evening I went to my friend Paul's "(kinda) Birthday(ish) Party" it actually turned out to be pretty fun. I got to talk to my friends Gus and Hannah, who had just gotten back Thursday evening from a 2 week stint in Europe! Later in the evening we tried playing Sardines, it didn't really work though because Paul's yard is huge and we could never find the person hiding. So after a while I just quit, and sat by the fire. Danny, Brandon, and Rebecca came and joined me and we had a lovely chat. =]

Saturday, was by far the busiest day this week, I went in around 1 to go get my schedule, then I went school shopping with my mom, we got home around 4 and by 4:16 I was out the door again to go babysit until around 10:30. I got home around 11, and was exhausted.

This morning I woke up went to church, played some softball, went to Micheal's to get some string, and now I just woke up from a nap about an hour ago. I decided today would be my "chill" day since I haven't really had a day "off" at all this week.

Hopefully this week will be a much less busy week for me!

oh what joy!

So, I FINALLY got a job!!!!!! And it only took a year!!! I'll be making sandwiches for the next year at Jimmy John's!!

I've been relatively busy this week, on Monday I went with some people from church to Lyric Arts Theatre in Anoka to do some service work and then afterwards we went to a park and played some Ultimate Frisbee, on Tuesday I moved my sister back to school it was nice, hot and sweaty. I'm excited for next year, when it'll be my turn to move into college. Yesterday I had a sandwich test at Jimmy John's to see if I could work there, and then I went and ordered my senior pictures! And today, I just got back from an adventure with my youth minister to Ax-man Surplus in Crystal so I could by some Scrapbook pages for really cheap.

Other than that, I haven't been doing much. I've been reading, and hanging around the house, occasionaly going out into the world to run some erands. I'm really ready for school to start, i'm actually getting kind of impatient. But then again, now that I got a job, it would be nice to be able to get settled in there and such before school starts!

Oh what a night.

The title of this post has nothing to do with this entry, the song just popped in my head as i was trying to come up with a title.

I haven't been up to much lately, I've had 2 job interviews, one at Leeann Chin's, and the other at Diamond City Bread, a local bakery. I'm really hoping I get the DCB one, because it seems like a fun place to work. Leeann Chin's does too, but they also want me to work 30 hours a week, and with school and some homework, that's not going to work. Today I also got a call from Jimmy John's trying to set up an interview. I called them back, but they have yet to return the call.

This week, I went to the beach with my sister and mom, it was like a girls day! And then today I went to Kelley Farm, which is an old historic farm, with my cousin, aunt, and mom. It was fun I suppose. i just felt like there wasn't a lot to do compared to other historic places i've been. I am now completely exhausted from the day. I will have to post pictures once I download them, because for tonight, i just don't feel like it.

For now you can enjoy this one, that's I've already posted, but I miss this place...a lot.
