This semester I'm take a photography class at school, and one of the assignments for our Portfolio check #1 was to take a digital portrait, so my friend Rachael and I spent a Saturday afternoon going around town and taking her pictures. Here are some of my favorites:

It won't be like this for long

Hmm well, I don't have much to say. I just thought I'd try and bring up my total count for the month! ha.

Well, I'm really excited for next weekend! I'm going down to Winona to visit my sister, and we're going to do all kinds of crazy stuff! Ha, just kidding, but it'll be over Halloween so I think we might go trick-or-treating for cans, I guess you can go door to door, and get cans of food or something and it helps habitat for humanity, and there's a dance going on, but you have to wear a costume to this dance, and I'm not sure if I really want to do that. Plus, I have no idea what I "want to be" for Halloween, so that kind of poses a problem.

And the weekend after that I (might) possibly be going up to Duluth for an Honor band. I'm not sure, I need to figure out whether or not I'm in though so I can request those days off of work. I really hope I do get in though. I went during my sophomore year, and it was a TON of fun! Especially the car ride up there! :P

And then pizza luce's and perkins, the sunday before our concert!

But, those are my updates. Sorry I don't have much more.

MEA

I have the next 5 days off due to MEA. This break could not have come at a better time! I was beginning to get a little sick of School, homework, work, repeat. So a break from school is much appreciated.


I've been working for the past 5 days, I have today off, work tomorrow, friday off, and then work through the weekend. But this day is a good break for me. I was asked if I could come in today from 5-close. However, I had to decline, besides, I have to go to the Parks and Rec. meeting tonight for my government class. So I thought that was a legit reason for not filling in.

I'm really looking forward to sleeping in!! My eyes have been a little bloodshot the past couple days because I haven't been able to get as much sleep as I've wanted because of work.

On the college front, I've applied to U of M Morris, which is my one and only college of choice. And from what I've heard, I don't think many people are going there, maybe like 1 or 2. Which is good because I'm really ready to get out of this town, and leave the majority of these people behind. I just need a change of scenery. Which is normal, I believe.

oh, and by the way, um, I'm awesome

So, this title has nothing to do with my post. It's just a line from a "Friends" episode that I thought was funny.

But anyway, I've come to realize that...:
-I have a lot of things to say, but never say them. This mainly has to do with the fact that I'm nice, and can't always say no when people ask a favor of me. Therefore, sometimes I get used, and I'm aware of this.
No, this isn't the first time it's happened either, but today at work there was a little "fiasco" (for lack of a better word) and it was really brought to my attention. Also, I've learned recently how little people truly care about others, I'm all for "getting ahead in the work place" but I probably won't step on people's toes to get there. At least not yet. But seriously, would it kill people to do something nice for me for once?!

-I've also realized that I hate confrontation. I've been faced with it multiple times this year, all by the same person, and each time, I put it off as long as possible, because that's how much I hate it.

I could go on ranting about life, and people, and how much I really do dislike the human race at this moment, but I won't.

And just for kicks:
This is my friend Jordan one day in choir. I was not there, but I still think it's funny. =]

This is the first time in a long while that I've had "creative juices" flowing. So these are some pictures I took in the 3 hour gap between the wedding and reception.








This is a simple drain for one of the fountains, but I think it's interesting because the water going into the drain doesn't even look like water.
