1 year-Post Event

Well I know it's been quiet around here but I don't have a lot to say but I am enjoying life right now.

That said, it's officially been a year since I got a scar on my leg while laying concrete last summer.

Day of, 1 week post, 4 months post, and 1 year later!

idk, my bff PJ

So this past week I volunteered to help a mission trip that was going on in the Twin Cities and PJ the musician from my very first mission trip with CHWC was the musician for the TC mission trip! We took a real cute 4 year reunion picture with him!

Birthday Shenanigans

For my birthday I went to the aquarium at MOA and to a Twins game, and while I'm still working on making most of the aquarium picture look good here are 3 pictures from the shenanigans! =]

The jellyfish were so ridiculously cool at the aquarium. If they wouldn't sting you, I would want to have one!

Relationships

Well I've been thinking lately about relationships and how sometimes one relationship can change your world. But also along those lines I feel like a relationship can only go so far if the two people actually work at it. I'm talking any kind of relationship here. I feel like in most of my friendships that I'm the one doing most of the work I'm the one that always has to initiate talking or hanging out or whatever it may be. And for the most part I've come to terms with that's how it's going to be for pretty much the rest of my life. But sometimes I wish someone would make the effort to talk or get together. And that's what my cousin Peter is for me. He's that one person that will actually reach out and want to hang out. I love that Peter is that person for me. As a kid we never really saw each other except for on the 4th of July and I think honestly that's why the 4th is my favorite holiday. But as we've gotten older and both gotten our own computers/more in to technology it's been a whole lot easier to to stay in touch. Just last week we skyped for an hour and a half and then the next day we both went out to "the lake." Which if you're in my family you know exactly what/where that means! And it was literally one of the best days of my life in the past few weeks because I hadn't seen him in so long! And sometimes that's all I need is the reality that just one person is there to always offer a listening session and it makes every other relationship okay.
