Today is the day

Well, I've got a bit of time today! (horray!)

So here's what I've been up to, school has officially started. Well actually it started like 3 weeks ago, but I've been working some week days now, so I'm busier, therefore I've had to prioritize. I've been working 3-4 days a week the past 2 weeks, and I get paid tomorrow! =]

Anyway, so this past weekend was a blast! On Friday it was my senior homecoming, I was in the homecoming parade which was really fun, I did the wiggalo with the volleyball team a lot, but in the end I fell off of a float(a story for another time), and then I had to go to the pep band, but it was ok because Ben and I yelled until we were just about hoarse. Also, we can both do this yell/scream, so we did that too. =]

On Saturday, my cousin Bridget got married. The day was really long because there was a 3 hour gap between the wedding and the reception but other then that, the day itself was beautiful. I got to see my cousins from Arizona(!) and we got a little crazy on the dance floor. Especially my aunt(s) Lisa, and Noelle.

And on Sunday I wrote a paper in less then 2 hours, and got 95% on it. and then I worked from 4-9. It was pretty lame. I was however, really sore from the previous two days.

I still have, but my arm is getting better, and I could move today without pain in my lower back from all the dancing! So that's good news.

Other then this past weekend, I've been busy with school and work, and life in general.

I'll post pictures once I add them to my photobucket account. Which won't be until later this week at least.

Popping in

Oh my, have I been busy. I don't have much time right now, but just so you know, i'm still alive.

I have lots to tell, and pictures to download, oh you just wait until I get a free day with no homework, no chores, and no work!!

Oh Dear

So, I figured that if I don't post I probably won't reach my goal of posting at least one more post then last month. There's not much to report.

I just got finished working the weekend away, and working a double today, which wasn't terrible. Tomorrow I work again from 5-close. I hate closing, I really truly do. And I've only done it once. I work again on Wednesday, then not again until Sunday.

Friday is homecoming, I still have yet to finish my senior shirt(oh dear.) and tomorrow is get up n go day, which I'm seriously thinking of doing. Because then I could sleep later(yay!) All I know, is that I better not get TP'd again this year, or something bad's going to happen.

Then on Saturday I have a wedding to go to. I'm excited because I think my cousins from both California and Arizona are coming!! I haven't seen any of them in a while, so it'll be nice to catch up!! =]

Catching up, and reading up

So, this past weekend was really a blast. Well, actually Friday was, and I don't remember much of Saturday or Sunday. Friday was the first pep band of the year! (=]) however, before pep band Max, a foreign exchange student from Germany(who is perhaps, the coolest german kid. ever.) had a Spaghetti Dinner at his house, so most of the band kids went there, and then we went to pep band. It was for the football game and usually our team isn't that good(meaning they were 1-8 last year) but some friends and I decided to "be crazy" and we basically yelled random things until our vocal chords gave out. Literally, by the end of the night, most of us didn't have a much of a voice. After the game, my friends Blake, Kalli, and I went to this even called "5th Quarter" It was basically this party for high schoolers, to party, play dodgeball, and get some free chipotle burrito's. The next day I don't really remember what I did, except I worked both Saturday and Sunday. Nothing exciting happened like last weekend. =[ This week of school hasn't been horrid, but I can tell I'm use to waking up at 10 or 11 instead of 6:23. I think I'll really like my photo class, but we'll have to see after we finally get to take pictures! I also really like my German class, there's only 11 kids in it, so it's really nice, plus I think I've learned more in this past week and half then I learned all of the 7 months that Richardson was gone last year!

So, this year looks like it's shaping up to be a really good year, let's hope it comes to be!
Plus, homecoming is next week, so that's exciting, because, you know, I'm a SENIOR!

First day of school

Well, I've made it through my first two days of school! My classes seem manageable this year, and even sound like they'll be fun. I'm really looking forward to my photo class, a) because net is awesome, and really random(as in the way he talks) and b) he's really chill and will let us be in the lab basically everyday. but at the same time he's strict, like you'll have to be doing something all the time in his class, or apparently you'll get in trouble.

The one that I think will be the most troublesome is German, mainly because my teacher taught us absolutely nothing last year, so it's tough. However, there are only 11 kids in the class! I'm a little sad that I don't have an actual history class this year, and that both of my "history" classes this year are in the first sem. And the only other bad thing about my schedule is the fact that I'm not taking a math or a science most of my friends are, and I'm taking more of the electives I've always wanted to take but haven't been able to, so the down side of that is the fact that I don't have many classes with friends, in fact 3 of 6 classes I have are with underclassmen, not including proctoring.

But, so far it looks like this year is shaping up to be a really good year.

On the friends front, I have been able to avoid most of the people that made all the drama happen last year, and I've only been hanging out with about 5 kids from band this year. However, I've made new friends specifically Max, he's an exchange student from Germany who's living with my old band teacher. He is one of the coolest people I've ever met.

So, there you have it that's my update on school.

Beach pictures will be posted tomorrow, they're being uploaded on photobucket right now.
Also, I might have some other pictures that i took while on a walk with a friend around town.

out with a bang.

Today was a REALLY good day. Perhaps the best last day of summer ever. What did I do that made it so good? I went to the beach, and then work. The beach was pretty good, the water was actually pretty chilly so we didn't swim much, however some of us made a sand castle/"farmtown"(an app. on facebook) and others flew a kite that Jordan had brought. It was a fun time, although a lot of other people had the same idea as us.

And then there's work. Tonight, was by far the best day of work. It included: bubble fights, "slip n slidin," and talking about random stuff that we've all done. If I could work everyday with Amber, Vic, Darren, and Rick, I SO would. it was a party.

Needless to say, it was a very good way to end the summer. and I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

I'll post pictures soon, but i might try and catch some sleep now.

Double Shifts.

I just worked one, and i'm exhausted. I don't have much to post but I figured if i wanted to reach my goal of 100 posts, i needed to do another one this week. Right now though, this weekend, work is consuming my life. Yesterday from 9-2 today from 11-2& 5-close and then tomorrow 11-2 and monday 4-9, luckily after that, i don't work until next saturday. LUCKILY. My legs hurt, and i'm doing that slow blinking thing that means you won't be awake much longer, and taking a shower seems like a big task.

In other news, I started my senior shirt this week with my 2 friends gus and morgen. I'm impressed that I was able to remember all the memories that I have written down. But i'm SO ready for school to start, it'll be a change of pace for me, and hopefully it'll be a good year. Actually, I know it will be a good year, because i'm going to make it one. You only have one senior year in high school so i might as well live it up.

oh, and enjoy this:

as summer comes to a close

Well, it's here, the final week of summer. I'm really not dreading it being over, nor am I hoping it will last forever. Truth is, i like school, it gives me something to do and I like learning. I like where I go to school, I like the people I've surrounded myself with, and overall it's not bad.

This summer I've had very busy weeks, where I don't have much time to sit around, and other weeks that's all I've done. I've also realized this summer/last school year who I really do trust, and want to be around. It's been good for me to distance myself from the band kids this summer, and just be able to do what I want on my time, not surrounded by people demanding that I do what they want. However, I'm looking forward to this year, I probably won't hang out with the same people I did last year, and I'm going to make sure it's a fun year. My schedule looks like it's bearable, and that some of the classes might even be fun(to bad I don't have a real history class this year.)

I've made some really great new friends this year, from all over, and for that I am grateful. However, I don't think I'll ever really have a Best Friend. And I've realized that's ok. I don't need to have someone to always hang out, I'm perfectly fine being by myself, and reading or scrapbooking or just sitting around watching tv.

This summer has been good for me, and I've gotten my priorities straight. Unlike most of my "friends" my parents won't pay for everything I want to do. I have to come up with the cash if I want to go hang out with people. My parents, therefore will not be paying my way through college, hence why I have a job. Honestly, I'm glad that's the way it is. I wouldn't appreciate anything if I didn't have to work for it.

So in turn, although I haven't done a lot this summer, it has been the best summer. I'm excited for this week to play out, and to see what's in store, but I'm also excited for school to start, and to see people I haven't been able to hang out with this summer.
