Oh, the Joy!!!!

So I spent the weekend at home, and it was wonderful.

Friday I spent the day with my mom and somehow we got on the topic of ice skating, now I really love ice-skating, like at some point in my life I really wish I would've tried it, (I'm one of those Minnesotans that doesn't know how to skate, that anyone outside of MN thinks it's weird that I don't) But anyway, I'm a huge fan of Evan Lysacek, he's one of the main reasons I got into watching skating.

Again but anyway,

My mom brought up how my aunt can get discounted tickets to SMUCKERS STARS ON ICE! That's coming to Minneapolis! And guess who's gonna be in that show? Oh right, my boy EVAN LYSACEK. she was like. "I told Noelle that you would for sure be interested in going and so would I, and maybe dad." So basically we get the tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BEST.MOM.EVER.

Her and me on move-in day. One of like 2 pictures I have of us.

Day 30!

Day 30- A picture of yourself. Well, the group on fb had 31 days listed but I figured I would just go with the 30 days.
This was actually really fun for me to do. There's a 30 day photo challenge 2, and I think I'll do that one too, but probably wait a little bit before I start.

This and That

Ah, this is one of my favorite songs ever. I think I just really like the message of it. Also, if you haven't found the wonderful-ness of Pandora, you should really check it out.

Ah the parents- Where would I be without them? Probably not here I guess.
AHHHH- the good ole days in band. That was the best year of band ever.

Puppy. =]

Well, I use to be obsessed with taking pictures of myself(which I now hate when other people do that) but anyway I really like this one. My smile is a little fake, but I think what I really like is my eyes, and how you can actually see my eyelashes(i've been told I have really long ones)

Man that was a good summer. This picture just makes me laugh every time I look at it. And we all look so little.

This picture just makes me want summer so bad.

Day 29

Day 29- A picture that can always make you smile.

Oh the memories this day holds.

Day 28

Day 28- A picture of something you fear.

Well I haven't really come up with something I truly fear, but I imagine I'd fear sharks if I ever encountered one.

Thursday, February 24, 2011

Day 27

Day 27- A picture of you and a family member.
My cousin Stuart.

Wednesday, February 23, 2011

Day 26

Day 26- A picture of something that means a lot to you. Music, I can't really explain how much it means to me. It started when I was 8 and has blossomed since then, into something that is so engrained in me.

A catch up day.

Oh hey, I guess I haven't posted in a while, so today has been a catch up day. But anyway, I've posted day 11, because I realized that I never posted it. And then I posted 23-25.

Just so you know: this post is just random updates
Anway, it's been a pretty good week here. My sister came and visited me this weekend however with Morris, is their is never much to do here. So we mostly just hung around and Saturday night we went to the improv show here, which actually turned out to be really funny.

It's been so warm here latelym but then today it's ridiculously snowy. Like as in I would guess we now have close to 20 inches or so. Tomorrow I'm going to a rally down in the cities and I really hope we don't get snowed out, because apparently that happened last year. Oddly though, it's actually pretty warm out (23 degrees)

And now, for some music.
I've really been into this song lately:

Florence and the Machine- "Cosmic Love"

Day 25

Day 25- A picture of your day.
Watching various crime shows, on the computer, and defining things for an anthro test this week.

Sunday, February 20, 2011

Day 24

Day 24- A picture of something you wish you could change. Well, unlike most of the people I know I don't think peace is ever going to happen, and I'm not going to depend on that. But what I wish is that people understand others more, and respect people more than they do. People are just so disrespectful to one another.

Saturday, February 19, 2011

Day 23

Day 23- A picture of your favorite book I read this book a few years ago, but to this day it still sticks out in my mind.

Friday, February 18, 2011

Day 22

Day 22- A picture of something you wish you were better at.
Overall I wish I was better at sports.

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

Day 20

Day 20- A picture of somewhere you want to travel.
Ever since 9th grade geography with Ernie, I've always wanted to go to Italy.

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

Day 19

Day 19- A picture and a letter
Dear Brandon, I miss you, I havne't seen you in months so let's change that soon okay?
Also while we're at it, let's work our beyonce hips again, because I havne't done that in a while, and nobody can work their hips quite like you.
Dear Zach,
Man, I miss you too. We always seem to have the best time while together, maybe it's because we can be crazy together and I had a blast with you in new Orleans, acting far more ridiculous than needed.
with love,
Linnea

Day 18

Day 18- A picture of your biggest insecurity.
Well I'm not sure that it's an insecurity but I have a hard time trusting people. Always have.

Understanding and Acceptance.

I just really need to say this. I've found that since being here I'm a lot more understanding and accepting of other peoples music. Like for example my roommate always likes to play her music while she's studying which I have no problem with, but the thing is sometimes I just don't want to listen to her music and want to listen to my own, but since she disapproves of it I generally don't play it when she's in the room unless I have headphones in. So today I struck up this conversation and asked why I "had" to listen to her music but she wouldn't listen to mine?

In this conversation what I say will be in red.

The answer? Because Kenny Chesney sucks. And I've heard it. Well that's awesome because I don't really like much of his stuff.

Well Brad Paisley or whatever. he sucks. Have you even given him a chance? No, oh didn't think so. And I've heard your stuff too, but still listen to that!
So you've heard of (insert band name here)? Well no, but I've heard of the artists you listen to, and some of them I don't like, but it's not like I tell you to turn it off. Like you do to me.
Yeah, well country still sucks. Yeah well, it doesn't just because you don't like Kenny Chesney doesn't mean everything is the same. Don't generalize.

Conversation end.
really? She had no actual reason to hate country music. And neither does anyone else here, and it just really bothers me that I'm actually open to listening to their music but the minute it comes to country music (or any other genre I play) they want me to turn it off.
Sucks.

Song of the Day- Tequila makes her Clothes Fall Off- Joe Nichols

Day 16

Day 16- A picture of someone that inspires you.
Well to be honest I don't really have someone that inspires me. BUT. If I had to choose(not including the people I've already posted about) It'd be Sayid Jarrah, from LOST because he's badass. And I'm jealous that I'll never be that badass.
FYI, I changed the picture on day 09 =]

I first heard this song on my mission trip last summer and basically fell in love with it.

Manners

One of the things that bothers me the most is people that don't have manners. Through gonig to college, I've met quite a few people that apparently haven't been notified as to what is acceptable behavior and whats not.

For example: While watching the superbowl, please for the love of God, don't scream your fool head off, so the entire floor, and probably both those above and below us can hear you, meanwhile others are trying to do homework.
Also don't tell me that i'm un-american because I dont' like football. I like Baseball, which is America's favorite past-time thank you.

Another one: Do not come in to my room and talk to my roommate for mintues on end while I'm watching a show, and then when I start watching it again don't ask so many questions. (it's another pet peeve of mine: people that talk during shows or movies.)

It just really bothers me that people here apparently don't have common sense. I mean I will admit that I'm smart but there are a lot of people on this floor smarter than me, book-smart wise. But when it comes to common-sense, or I guess "street-smarts" they don't seem to have much. Or maybe this isn't even common-sense, I guess it's more common courtesy so I'm not really sure where this falls into a category. Either way, people on this floor don't have it, and it's realyl starting to get on my nerves. Like at this point, I just need out of the dorms, ASAP. For a little while, at the very least.

Day 10

Day 10- A picture of the person you do the most screwed up things with.

My friend Eric and I
Okay well we don't really do "Screwed" up things, but leave us alone for a little while, and we can get into a fair amount of trouble, i'm sure.

Day 09

Day 09- A picture of the person that's gotten you through the most.
Well I don't really have one person that's "gotten me through the most" Mainly because I haven't really had a "rough patch" to get through in life. So I just chose one of the many most influential people in my life. I didn't have a picture of person I originally thought of, but my dad is just as wonderful. =]

haha, a really old one of when we were in Arizona. And a massive glare, on dad's glasses.

Song of the Day- Some People Change- Montogomery Gentry.

Day 06

Day 06- A picture of your most treasured item.

This is my baby blanket, and I would say that this is definitely my most treasured item, i've had it since I was born(i think. or at least since I can remember) and I still sleep with it every night. =]

I know I don't need it to sleep because I've done it before, but I think it's more of a comfort thing.

Day 06

Day 06- A picture of someone you wish you could trade spots with for the day.

-Well I really can't think of someone I want to trade spots with, so it's just a picture of my photography today.
