Literally a month ago I went to the Basilica Block Party in Minneapolis and had the time of my life with 3 of my greatest co-workers and then one of mine and Greg's really good friends! And the first night, it rained (so unfortunate) which meant that Mat Kearney (the entire reason we wanted to go) didn't get to finish his set! Greg and I were really upset. The other three that were with us didn't know the artists as well as Greg and I did and I think that's just because Greg and I have really similar tastes in music and share music with each other really often. Anyway, the sky cleared up unfortunately they wouldn't let Mat finish so then we went over to see Imagine Dragons. OH GOOD GOD, THEY ARE LITERALLY THE BEST BAND LIVE EVER! Okay it's actually a really close tie with Graffiti6 too. But seriously so good! I hadn't heard a lot of there songs but this set just solidified the fact that they are great. They're coming to the cities in September and I'm trying to decide if I really want to go.
For now, here are three pictures from the day!
Mat Kearney, one of the most soulful voices ever.
Dan Reynolds, Lead singer for Imagine Dragons.
Pat Monahan of Train. As a side note, the guitar player totally looks like Howie mandel.
