An Update, to keep me accountable.

So you know that post I wrote like a month ago, saying how I just wanted to get fit? Yes, well I haven't done so well at it. I finally started working towards it this week. I think what I really needed was a goal, and I've kind of set one for myself. If I'm around this summer, my sister and i want to run the color run. It's a 5k but it's not like a serious one, you could walk the whole thing if you wanted to, but basically you just super tye-dyed. it's awesome. So since I can barely run right now here's the plan I'm going to try and follow. I actually mis-read the first week, so I'm actually doing run a minute walk a minute. But anyway, I need to be able to run a 5k (roughly 3 miles) in 30 minutes hopefully but July 14th! Which I'm well aware it is more than 8 weeks away but I figure I need more time to get in shape anyway.


Eventually, I want to be a person that absolutely needs to run everyday. I use "run" in a loose term, would I absolutely love to run 3-4 miles daily? Yeah, I would, but that might not be doable so if I could even walk or "run" 2 miles without feeling like I'm going to pass out by the end of summer, well then I think I'll call that pretty successful. But truly, at some point in my life I would love to be able to call my self a runner. For now though, I'll stick with just trying to keep going to the gym 3 days a week.  

Maybe after this 5k, I'll run a 10k in like a year. I think I just need to set goals for myself. I never want to be a marathoner. That just sounds like a terrible time. But this short distances, I think I can do that.

And I say this, because I know there's a bunch of you out there that don't say anything! I can see my pageview on a daily basis people, so introduce yourselves!
